Progress

Soaking the roots of Blackcurrant and Rose bushes.

Dug out the Strawberries from the last vegetable bed.

Buds and beds

Excited to see all the little trees are starting to get leaves this morning.

The dog decided to sit here for ages, so I cleared the front part of the bed around the bench. It had woodchip last year, but was completely covered in grass, so maybe something else would be better.

This bed took a few more hours to clear of grass and roots today.

Dill and Spring Onion seed pots repotted.

First Lemon Balm appeared.

After forking in some soil/compost.

Added a bit more before dark. 

Planning and marking

Preparing another bed

I dug this up from the bed I was weeding, I think it's garlic. I know I planted some there before. I've moved it to the onions bed now to see what grows. 

Bed full of roots and weeds. I started this one just before dark yesterday. 

It was full of Horsetail, which can be useful, but not in the vegetable patch. It's very hard to get rid of, but hopefully I got most of it and haven't just caused it to multiply. 

Weeds gone, Strawberries in pots for now.

I started adding new soil. Just this smaller bed left to sort now.
