Brambles and grass covered a large area at the back of the garden which I have left mostly untouched since I moved in over 5 years ago. I applied for trees from
www.treesontheland.com to be planted on 9th February this year, so I have been tackling the clearance over the winter. Today was my first day gardening in 2019 and I already noticed more daylight since I was last out. By 5.00pm it was too dark to see, which is about half an hour longer than the shortest day (21st December). This area about 12m squre along the fence was cleared today:
