Wind and rain

The June Bank holiday is traditionally the time to start planting out annuals as it is normally safe to say there won't be more frost. This June is getting off to a bad start though. Sunday was really windy with some showers and Monday had more rain. Today (Tuesday 4th) has a yellow weather warning for rain with up to 35mm expected. We had a busy day at work yesterday and visitors so nothing was done apart from the watering. The Squash was planted out on Sunday as it was being blown over and so far today I've just watered the greenhouse. It's much colder than normal for this time of year too. The forecast doesn't look much better for the rest of the week, but that can change.
First Chamomile flower.

Fungus in flower bed, probably growing on the newspaper or cardboard under the soil.

This Thyme is flowering.

I think the recovering Thyme has been attacked by slugs.

First Wildflowers to flower.

The same view a year apart: 3rd June 2019 (top) and 2018 (bottom).
