Pond making

I spent most of the day at the pond today. I made sure all stones were out and put carpet at the bottom gritty layer just in case. Then it was all lined with the fleece underlay and the pond liner, which was hard to fold into shape until the water was added. I started with the rain water I had taken out of the hole and then used the hose until it was full. I've started hiding the liner with rocks and stones, but there's lots more landscaping to do to hide it fully. I planted my black Iris in the mud at one side, but need to get more compost before I plant the other pots. It was sunny and hot all day. I stayed out until dark which was almost 9.45pm today.
